Airgun Target Catapult

  • So there I was in Bass Pro again (I really got to stay out of there) and came across this RangeMaxx Airgun Catapult normally $15 for $4.77. RangeMaxx is a Cabella's brand that is being phased out, so they told me. Hence, the discount which is also the price online.

Nothing to lose, so I took it home. Got out my trusty Barra 1866 to give it a try at 10 yards. Had to pump 7 times to get it to release. So I took the spring off and it released with only 3 pumps.

It launches an empty can up into the air about 6' high. Not terribly exciting, but I'm sure I can find alternate uses for it also.

Actually, I'm considering going back for a couple more to do a little competition with several shooters. Besides, the build is quite sturdy.

  • That's like clay pigeon shooting
But then an empty can shooter 😁

  • Went back to Bass Pro today and picked up the last two catapults.

Also picked up a Umarex Glock 19 airsoft non-blowback for $79. Just put lots of 20g BBs thru it and was impressed with the accuracy and penetration power on cans (one side only). Unfortunately like all the AG Glocks I have, the trigger is less than desireable but doable. Polymer frame and metal slide, 11 shot mag, built in allen key and a good feel and weight.

  • @William Brooks

Also picked up a Umarex Glock 19.

    Nice pistol, I have the 17 Gen4 .177 I love it
