Barra's Testing standards/criteria??

  • Recently, I purchased a Barra 1100Z gen 2 in .22.   The gun arrived, and after cleaning and setup, I couldn't get it to shoot a group less than a FOOT/12".  After contacting Barra, I was offered to return the gun, for one that had been "tested".

Long story short, the new gun arrived, I did all the same things as I'd done to the first gun, and this "tested" gun was doing the same thing.... groups of 12" or more.

      So my questions are:

    1. What exactly is meant by the term "a tested gun"?

    2. What exactly are the "tests" that a "tested gun" goes through?

    3. What exactly is the criteria for a gun to pass being "tested"?

    4. What brand/weight of pellets are used during "testing"?

    5. Why is there not a "tested" certificate/list of the tests and the passing results included with each "tested" gun?

I just find it very hard to accept that I received two 1100z rifles that are both "lemons".

Unless there is something that I am doing that I am unaware of, that has/is causing these guns to shoot so horribly.  I'd sure be happy to hear suggestions and would love to get the answers to the questions listed above.
