So, there I was back in Bass Pro Shoppe (I know, I know, I said I should stay out of there) and saw this Airsoft Resetting Target from Crosman (actually from China...surprise!) and thought I'd give it a try.
The online reviews are mostly negative but here is my opinion after several sessions with my Sig M17 GBB at 15' using .12g BBs at about 350 fps.
Putting the netting on is a pain in the a$$. The arms in the back swing easily for collapsing the target to storage mode. The netting is not really needed, you could just drape a towel over the top and back.
BBs will drop the paddles and bounce back about 2'-3'. No damage was noted on the rubber-like paddles. Paddles must be seated firmly and securely in the slots provided. Shooting the left smaller paddle resets the center and right paddles.
Obviously, Airsoft ammo only. Some reviewers say the springer guns at 200 fps won't knock the paddles down.
The reset paddle unit is separate and locks in place. I suppose it could be used by itself if you wanted too.
There are slots in the front border that accept paper/thin cardboard targets without the reset paddles in place.
All-in-all at $25 it is just something different. How long it will last is anyone's guess, but so far it has worked as intended.
