Full Auto

  • Just felt like being full-auto today, so I loaded up the ol' Beretta 92FS and the Crosman M1.

The Beretta mag leaked a little bit of air until I cranked it down with more presure than I like to do, which made it seal okay. I hope that isn't a sign that it's going to become a problem. I shot some Excite Smart Shot BBs, which zero'd a little low; and some Crosman Copperheads. The 92 is heavy and fills my hand comfortably.

In the M1, I used Air Venturi steel and then switched to the Copperheads. The M1 takes two CO2 cartridges but I only put in one live and one empty for a shorter session and still got a lot of shooting done. If I had one thing that I'm not crazy about, is hearing the BBs rattling around inside.

Let's face it: Who doesn't love the M1 Carbine. I have always been taken by the M! Carbine ever since my father-in-law let me shoot his firearm back in 1969, which we inherited years later. I also have the Air Venturi M1 Carbine, which disappointedly has been giving me some problems. After about a half mag is fired, all the CO2 leaks out. It does the same with several mags, so it must be a problem internally...bummer.

And that is it...another fun day in beautiful Florida.

  • @William Brooks

Do you use Crosman Pellgun oil
a drop on each air capsule that is always recommended
Put 1 or 2 drops and on the seal and let it soak for a day or 2
much chance that it will stop.
And never use too much force when tightening that is not good for anything.
I hope this has helped you
    Greetings Frank 😉

  • Thanks Frank,

Yes, I always use Pell gun oil. I hadn't used the 84 probably for several years so it could have been dried out. I'll soak it and try it again.

To continue some more full auto fun, I shot 5 mags in the Barra 400e today. What a beautiful but heavy monster. Super accurate. The only con is the awful noisey gear drive. Otherwise, a blast to shoot.

Went out on a limb and ordered the ASM Sten MK II air soft. Arriving Thursday.....same day I'm going in for my hernia operation so it will be a couple days before I can play with it. A review will be forth coming.

Thanks for your advice, Frank. Good to hear from you.

If you have problems this is a good forum (with pictures of a beautiful sten)
for solutions, There are people who know almost everything about
    airsoft and replica on a scale of 1 to 10 I am a 0
as for the hernia I know everything about back pain and unfortunately nothing about solutions.
The Barra 400E looks very good but I only own pistols and revolvers

(Thanks for your advice, Frank. Good to hear from you)

    The honor is mine 😉
