BARRA IN THE WILD
The Schofield 7 Inch Variant: Gun Metal
I sent it back, it was heavier than we thought. Waiting for a refund. Thank you Carol
I am well satisfied with the pistol. High quality.
Not as impressed as I hoped I would be with as much as it cost. It’s hefty and feels good, but the smooth bore and no rifling truly impairs it’s accuracy and potential.
I have always liked the "Schofield" revolvers. Unfortunately, I'll never be able to afford one.
Well, I frequently shoot air guns so when this "Schofield" came out, I carefully tracked the reviews. Nearly all gave high praise so I begged for one for my birthday (Shameful behavior for a man turning 67!) I got the 7" inch barrel model and am well pleased with it. I wouldn't trade it but I do think the 5-1/2"(?) bbl would be a better shooter.
I'm not going to go into detail since so many others have already done so. I firmly agree with all the good things said. I a;so bought extra ca'tridges (;^) for pellets. I realize the pistol I got is the smooth bore version but the pellets shoot a lot better than the BB's which don't do bad themselves. As the box and instructions say, use STEEL BB's. One more note about cartridges. There is room in the lower left corner of the box interior so I drilled holes there in the card board for the cartridges. Being rimmed, they fit just fine and are easily retrieved.
I got the pistol with the "gunmetal" finish." Blued steel it ain't but, it ain't bad. It's sort of a "charcoal gray."
There you have it. I thoroughly recommend this for anyone considering it. I can;t believe you'll be disappointed.
