Description

The Rosie is the youth-sized version of one of our best-selling air rifles —  The 1866. Designed with your little Annie Oakley in mind, the overall length of the air rifle is 10” shorter than the full-size 1866 and the automatic safety feature keeps things safe while they learn trigger discipline. It’s the perfect first rifle for your young shooter.

OPERATION The Rosie uses a single pump pneumatic power plant. The air tube is completely pressurized with a single pump and reaches a maximum velocity of 350 FPS. Its size, automatic safety, and lower velocity make it a great all-round practice gun for new or young shooters.

MATERIALS The Rosie is cut from the same cloth as The 1866 with the main difference in materials being that the Rosie’s pump arm is made of reinforced nylon resin. The rose gold receiver is made of a durable ABS plastic and gets its mirror glossy finish through electroplating. The 15" barrel is made of carbon steel and nestled inside a steel barrel shroud.

STYLE The Rosie, like The 1866, was inspired by the classic, lever-action repeaters of the American West. It’s a cowboy air rifle, plain and simple.

    Time Will Tell

I purchased 3 of the Rosie Airguns. I loved the fact that I could load a single bb or pellet in the bolt action reservoir. I used them for my boys group at church and didn’t want them to have a full reservoir of bbs. I wanted more control over when they could shoot to better prevent accidents. When I received my airguns one of them had an issue with the safety that Moab graciously walked me through some troubleshooting to try to remedy the issue. Unfortunately, the troubleshooting was unsuccessful but they were prompt in their responses and sent me a brand new Rosie airgun without any issues. The customer service was superb! When I initially unboxed the airguns I was stunned because they looked even better than I thought they would. I would give this a rating of 5 stars if it weren’t for the feel of the airgun in my hands with the stock being plastic it causes the air rifle to be a little barrel heavy. Also I feel like if I were using this air rifle more than a few times a year with my boys group there may be potential for breakage with some of the plastic parts. The Rosie was perfect for what I needed and time will tell me how well it will stand up to rowdy boys. If you are looking for an introductory air gun for your boy or girl give the Rosie kit a chance it looks nice, shoots well, comes with safety glasses and small bottle of bbs to get you started.

    Just one downside

I love the gun it is perfect, and I like the manual to teach you how to use it, it is just that when you first get it, it is hard to get the pump to move, and also I ordered the normal 1866 and got the 1866 Rosie instead
